Subject: Dokuwiki will not run after upgrade/pluggin install
I was trying to install a "backup" plugin when my dokuwiki stopped running.
When I select doku.php via WAMP server homepage I get a blank page.
I can navigate to the directory where Doku.php and it seems ok. Is there a restore
option available or can I re-install dokuwiki with the latest version.

You can deactivate a plugin by hand ff you don't have access to the admin interface anymore. Just create an empty file named disabled (without extension!) and copy it (e.g. by using FTP) into /lib/plugin/[plugin-to-disable]/. If your wiki is working again, you know that the disabled plugin caused the error. You can remove it then by using the plugin manager.
