Subject: Where should plugins store data?
I'm working on extending the "subscribe" feature to include namespaces.

As a first idea, I want to connect it to the ACL feature and let the admin have users subscribe
per group basis. Also I'd like custom email templates for each namespace notification, and
the possibility to limit notifications only to when a page is added, changed, deleted, or any combination.
I have a working first-draft for a single namespace to a list of comma-separated emails.

To do this, I need to store data. Where should plugins store this stuff. I suspect somewhere in the data-folder,
but is there any rules?

Also, how can I access the ACL lists to get all emails in a certain group?

Cheers,
