I just downloaded the 2006-11-06 release and something is fishy. It took me 3 downloads to get the right file. The first 2 downloads were about 1/2 the size of the actual tgz (
511528 bytes).
tar xzf
*.tgz gave unpack errors
gzip: stdin: unexpected end of file
tar: Unexpected EOF in archive
tar: Unexpected EOF in archive
tar: Error is not recoverable: exiting now
The actual file size when a "clean" download was made was 1058194 bytes (no unpack errors).
And finally
install.php was not to be found (probably because tar exit abruptly)
I'm a bit concerned if the file has been tampered during download.
I'm using wget on Linux for download to my laptop and scp for upload to installation server (indirect due to fw restrictions on server).
Is this something to worry about?
