zoidy Hello, I'm trying to create system for users to store some photos. Let's say I have "/photos" folder in my "/data/media/" and I want registered users to be able to create new folders in /data/media/photos and then upload their photos to this folder using Media Manager. Is there a relatively simple way to do that? Or could you recommend me some plugin with similar functionality? Thanks!
turnermm The way your users can do this is to open a new document in the new namespace and then open the media manager. The new directory will have been created.
zoidy Well, but this will create new document and folder only in /data/pages, but Media Manager shows files in /data/media and I need to create the folder there. It's possible to do this by typing "newfolder:picture.jpg" when uploading picture to Media Manager, but I'm not sure If that's user friendly enough. :) If anyone knows some plugin which could add this functionality in form of button or something, that would be great. So far I didn't find anything like this.
violetfish Open the new namespace:page. Open the media manager. Your new media directory will appear; the new directory will have been created in the media directory.
zoidy Sure, you can do this, but I don't really want to create page or anything. Only folder (namespace) for photos and that's it. And typing "folder:photo.jpg" is not very user friendly. Main problem for me is when a user wants to upload a lot of photos, he has to do this with one photo to create the folder and then upload the rest or write the "folder:" part in every photo's name and that's not really a solution. Perfect solution in this case would be propably a button, which would create folder with given name in current folder in media manager, but I'm not really sure how to do that. Thanks for any tips.
zoidy I'm looking for plugin with similar functionality to this one https://www.dokuwiki.org/plugin:new_page_dialog but unfortunately this plugin is not working anymore. I only need the "New Folder" function to appear in Media Manager page.
