Greetings all -
I am new to DokuWiki and have grown a little used to a different package's ability to have user-defined templates generated on the wiki itself. To that end, I installed the templater plug-in on my install and am trying to use it (along with the include function provided with the blog plug-in) to create a "templater" that allows folks to generate pages that all have the same look and feel. Specific example: a page on the software package X-Win:
http://classes.pratt.duke.edu/help/doku.php?id=software:xwin
and the "templater" that helps it out:
http://classes.pratt.duke.edu/help/doku.php?id=templater:software
What I mainly wondering includes:
1) Is this the best way to do this and,
2) Assuming it isn't (which is what I am assuming), what works better? Specifically,
a) Are there ways to do this without HTML tables?
b) Are there ways to do this such that if the user did not define a tag (say, platforms), that line wouldn't print?
Thanks for any help!
Michael
