michaelsy If you want to insert a tab as a control character, then this will probably work with the Scrapbook plugin. However, only an empty bar will be displayed in the selection menu for this snippet.
This is a good idea, but the Autotabber plugin suggested below seems better for me.

Yes, but I don't always want this workflow when I'm making an edit to an existing page that happens to not have a tab already somewhere in it, particularly since many of my edits use the section edit.
Neat tool. It doesn't seem to work in Firefox, but a Chromium variant gets me the bookmark and this is convenient for other sites when I want a tab, or some other character.
ach I wanted to reply that you could also write a plugin to deal with this, but first searched through the plugins to find out if someone had done that already. And it turns out someone did with the AutoTabber Plugin.
Thanks! This is perfect. I think the only time I need tab qua tab is when I'm leaving an edit note, since the rest of the buttons all have shortcuts.
