The first - somewhat simpler - wiki of mine I have now installed (fresh) and tested (under PHP 8) with the new version. So far everything runs perfectly. [My style is always to proceed like this. A fresh start is not much more work, but much safer. And a lot of old garbage can be disposed.]
The used plugins are:
- Avatar
- Blockquote
- Cookielaw
- Pagelist
- Tag
What I still need with the other wikis, but haven't tested yet:
- Include
- Wrap
- Wst
- Prosemirror (not absolutely necessary)
Other feedback:
- What surprised me a bit, is that the index seems to be completely available from the beginning, although I uploaded the wiki pages with file upload directly to pages folder.
- What I like is the new admin function View Logs.
Dear Andi, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you very much for your work and your commitment. I think most people who don't do this kind of software work themselves can't even imagine how much work goes into something like this. (On the other hand it is a great satisfaction when it works - I myself are active as provider of an own software product and with software marketing since more than 30 years and can therefore somewhat empathize.)
I think the Dokuwiki is one of the great offerings and achievements on the web. (I also say this after about 10 years of working with Mediawiki, which I left for good reasons.) You can really be proud of what you and your contributors have accomplished!
As I know, in this work you get mostly error messages and criticism and little recognition. Therefore, this had to be said once explicitly.
