Hi @virk thank you so much for being responsive and for trying to help out. I do appologize for my late reply. The past few weeks have been more busy.
I am not sure what hierarchy would be best, but your guidance would be appreciated.
I envision the wiki to be organized in a hierarchical manner, with directories/namespaces to categorize the content effectively. Here's a rough sketch of how I imagine the organization:
Introduction to Interventional Psychiatry
Neurobiology/Neurocircuitry
-- Depression
-- Bipolar
-- Anxiety
-- etc
Overview of Treatments
--Neuromodulation
--- Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT)
--- Repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (rTMS)
--- Vagus Nerve Stimulation (VNS)
--- Transcranial Direct Current Stimulation (tDCS)
--- Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS)
--- Magnetic Seizure Therapy (MST)
--- Photobiomodulation
--- etc
-- Psychosurgery
--- Focused Ultrasound
--- DBS
--- etc
-- Psychopharmacology
--- Overview
--- Neurotransmitter Systems
--- Psychotropic Medications
--- Novel agents
-- Psychedelics
--- Ketamine
--- Psilocybin
This structure should facilitate easy navigation and retrieval of specific information. As for the total number of pages, I anticipate a moderate amount initially, but the wiki will likely expand over time as new research and treatments emerge. Regarding visuals, there may be some diagrams or illustrations to accompany certain topics, but the emphasis will be on clear and concise textual information.
Considering the potential time-consuming nature of restructuring later on, I believe it's prudent to establish a hierarchical organization from the outset to accommodate future growth and maintain clarity for users.
Kindly let me know what do you think. I have no clue how to go about creating the Wiki, but if you can help on the development end, I will be happy to credit you on the About Us page. The aim is to be a non-profit project that will provide access to knowledge in a new field that offers promising treatment to mental illnesses.
