Hi All
I have recently installed DokuWiki on my machine at home running Ubuntu. I have created a personal wiki that is accessed on localhost. I need maths formulae displayed and so have installed the
MathMulti plugin. I did this manually by copying files to the /usr/share/dokuwiki/lib/plugins folder. This plugin seems to have installed correctly as it is listed in the Installed Plugins as seen in Admin > Plugin Management.
However, if I add:
<math>x^2</math>
to a wiki page, all I see is: x^2.
I have installed
mimetex and copied mimetex.cgi into the /usr/lib/cgi-bin folder. As in a
previous thread, if I point my browser to
http://localhost/cgi-bin/mimetex.cgi?x^2+y^2 it renders the appropriate equation as a .gif image in the browser. So, I know that mimetex.cgi is working properly.
I have also installed
itex2mml and copied the itex2MML executable file (which I compiled) to /usr/bin/itex2MML.
My local.php shows:
$conf['plugin']['mathmulti']['mathmulti_mimetex'] = '/usr/lib/cgi-bin/mimetex.cgi'; //Path to mimetex bin (produce img)
$conf['plugin']['mathmulti']['mathmulti_itex2mml'] = '/usr/bin/itex2MML'; //Path to itex2mml bin (produce mathml)
Regardless of whether I try to have the <math> </math> content displayed as an image (via mimetex) or rendered as MathML (via itex2MML), nothing happens on my wiki page.
Does anyone know a solution to this problem, or perhaps have suggestions for things that I should try?
Thanks,
Andrew
